well..SDCC was a blast, l was asked by Lucasfilm to draw images from all 6 Starwars movies . the car was a 2012 Passat...it was by far the craziest job l have ever done...and the most thrilling. l decided to do the car in Sharpie marker..why? well,because nothing else would go on ..hahaha. he paint just sat on the surface of the car.
l worked pretty fast and l completed the car in three days...Lucasfilm and VW really liked the car and the ad agency liked how it turned out...life is good.

l would like to thank all of you that came out..and those who have supported the cause with online bidding and just spreading the word. l had a blast..and l have never boogied so much while drawing..l wish l could have stayed all day but the first shift was great for me....thanks to all the new friends l met,,as well as some old ones...makes me want to do it again...Bless you all..it was AMAZING.

here is my first pass at drawing digitally...it's not awful but's not that bad either ..(well kinda bad). l am trying to teach myself some new tricks...so far so good. l am looking forward to the next faze of my life ..it's funny to go from knowing it all to knowing nothing in 5 minutes...but that's the life of a artist..more stuff to learn all the time.Garage Inc has been getting some amazing reviews..my first game has some flaws but all in all...l am very proud of what l did. more to come...

well..its back to work time for me..l spent 2 weeks in the sunny south of Florida. l had a great time with my family and doing work for Lucasfilm when l was hanging out in the condo...l always end up doing work on my trips and this year was no different..l usually don't mix but this year it was unavoidable. l have tons to tell the game l worked on is rolling..more details to follow.l also will be rolling full time at TG...more about that as well.life is good...lets have fun..

ok..here is the low down of all things in my life... the art is rolling. l have been working on a game with Transgaming for a few months now and it rolling out in full force. GARAGE INC is the latest thing l'm proud of. l have have some great things happen in my life when it comes to art and this is one of the highlights. l am also working on a new book with my good buddy DJ as well as a new property with Kevin G. The cartoon l designed for PORTFOLIO ENT is entering it's fourth season,CARL2 is rolling on TELETOON. l am also doing some fun work with LUCASFILM and that is by far the most fun anyone can have on a project.
l am getting ready for the next faze of my life...but l also have a heavy heart...today marks the end of the STARWARS car.( look at BOBA fett in the trash bin).l took off the decals and although its sad...it may have opened up a new avenue for me...l have a bead on a new office space in Mississauga..l saw it today...very nice..and the possibilities are endless.

so...l'm making a wish, l wonder is Santa still makes house calls to my house for the adults...or did l use up all my luck and well wishes already.

anyways...MERRY XMAS !!!!!

Hey all...so life is rolling along.l just got a call from lucasfilm to do some very cool stuff on a new upcoming project with the home of the jedi. l also have the first mouse pad done with my artwork at Transgaming...and l have my stack of Xmen books..l have a few commissions to do hahaha.

that is a skateboard l'm donating to a friend in Florida for a great cause.

also...if you ride a horse..you must have strong core muscles....and there is only one way to do that....oh, my your bad.

now..most of you don't know this but l'm not really an outdoor kinda guy...l don't like the flies...and the living off the land type deal. my kids always go and this trip l was talked into it..well more like two girls giving me the gears about how l never go. so l did...and it was fun.

l also got invited to the LABOUR DAY CLASSIC in Hamilton...my cuz is #41..J Hood and l'm proud that he is in the CFL...good for him...he played well and l would like to say thanks to him for the hook up..now l'll hook him up..he requested a drawing...hahaha.

so life is good...work is great...and l am once again reminded that people are crazy.

Well...today was a fun day..l did my first walk cycle..and it looked pretty good. l took on this task with a bit of reluctance ...but in the end it looked great.l also am working on a new cover for HERO..the HERO INITIATIVE is one of the best things going. you do work..they raise money and it goes the artist who forged this business. my cover will be done in a few days, l just wanted to show it off before it was done..l got a lot to fix...but hey, who's perfect.

also..RIBFEST is in town..l live about a 30sec walk for the waterfront park they hold it. every year l eat way to much...but it smells so good. next update..the new gig with some old friends...peace

so..l'm doing one issue of Lady Deadpool and l'm looking at the style of it..it's way off my regular style and l enjoyed it.the pages looked pretty cool in the end but don't think it will look like Black Panther...it won't.

on a different note..l am working on a new gig with my buddy Kevin as we are creating a new book. it's crazy fun to finally work with Kevin Grevioux..he is one of the creators of UNDERWORLD and has a new movie in the works.I FRANKENSTEIN....l love the work he does and we are rolling on the new gig...l'll be in NY at the con in Oct ..l will be launching posters of the new gig there.

l am also working my buddy DJ...we are rolling on a HUGE project..DJ was the Special Effects Supervisor on movies like..XMEN, FF and THE WATCHMEN. we are working on a new project with a massive amount of pages...a 2 year project...it will be epic...hopefully.hahahahaha.

l did a signing for free comic day at Stadium Comics in Brampton...it was fun and although l didn't get my Cinnabon l still had fun. l was supposed to have dinner with so old friends but l lost the info and l was dog tired..so it was best l went home...so what new?...lots of stuff...the work is getting better...l sent in my design for Starwars Celebration in Orlando...life is good.

Well, sorry people but l have been working like crazy on a few things and the blog is getting left behind...but with the new gig at Transgaming lam busier than ever...but l'm having crazy fun. so lets start by giving an update on all the craziness...the gaming end of things is in full gear..the Gametree TV platform is in full effect and we are creating all kinds of goodies. The comic end is also rolling with me as l'm talking to Marvel about doing a one shot of a VERY popular Xmen title...thanks Axel. On the design front l'm working with Hasbro on some new fun stuff as well as some old stuff...life is good.

well lets talk about the images l posted...these are a small batch of the three day signing/drawing event l did. l worked the show for three full days and it was awesome...l met some very cool people and the fans were amazing..they kept me very busy...l did drawings non stop...well l took a pee here and there..hahahahaha. l had a challenge by he Collector...so l took it on and did my best...( the artist in question said he has to bow to me because l won...hahahaha..life is good). the weekend was fun..but l am exhausted...but no rest for the wicked...the week has already started...and we are moving the Transgaming studios....to a bigger , badder office...l'll keep you posted..peace.

well, l haven't been on here for a while and my life has taken some very fun turns...l am not doing comics monthly anymore...why? well it comes down to my future. l won't ever be were l want if l continue to work on things l don't own. l had a blast working in comics..but l'm too old to keep rolling along like l have no dreams.

l do...so l'm out.

the next faze of my life started this week...l'm working at TRANSGAMING as a Creative force...it is an amazing transition.l have always wanted to do something like this, and now l can truly create my future. l now have a creative voice in what l do ...it's crazy. Today l spent 2 hours looking at my game and thinking of whats next ...l'm stoked.

l won't be done with comics...but l will be done with working on things l don't own . l will be rolling on a few motion comics and a new book that l created that will be made into a Videogame.The new look site will be up in June...my toys will be out next X-Mas...my t-shirts will be out this fall...life is good.

next stop...who knows...l may post that l ran away with a saucy raven haired beauty....

last week l went to hasbro for a week of fun and work...well mostly fun. They asked me to come in and be part of a very special event and l was honored to do it. it was great to reconnect with old friends and to make some new ones. l was flown in...stayed at the Westin...life is good.l went to the Hasbro offices for a few days to work and have some fun...( well l wanted to see the toys...dude, it was sick!!!!). the week was amazing but in the end..l missed my family. ( don't get me wrong..a king size bed by myself..nice).

well thats it for today...l'll post more about my life and the new gig...life is nuts...but it sure is fun!!!!!!

so l went to a signing yesterday for the Hero Wolverine project..it was very fun and although l didn't get to talk to many of the artist l had a blast talking to the fans...the book looked awesome...hardcover and soft. l was late to the signing...had to pick up so supplies...but l never did get my chocolate cover raisins.....maybe next time.....more pics to follow...it was fun...my fav is the Joker..15 minute sketches....l was going like crazy...it was so fun.

ok...here it is...l went on friday to get a coat for my daughter and l decided to go to Hallmark to see what my wife will be getting me for X-mas....when what did l see?...this Calendar....l was totally geeked out.l know Lucasfilm makes product with my stuff on it...l got the disc a few months ago with the whole catalogue...there were over 600 items world wide...but this is crazy cool...l'm so geeked.

some of the heads were different from my pencils...l did them on other sheets...l need to find them.

l also went to Starwars.com.....you can buy all sorts of things with my artwork...my fav are..STAMPS.....are you crazy...l'm so GEEKEEDDD!!!!!!

so l am going to NY on Dec.17th for the 'Marvelous Color' show in Midtown. the CCCADI gallery is hosting the two month event. l am creating some original artwork for the show...my first gallery showing to NY...my life is about to take a fun turn.

ok all...l have been very busy with some very cool work with Marvel. l will be doing issue number 11 and then who knows...well l do but l will keep it hush hush!!!! l will be doing some very cool stuff...some will say it was long overdue...others might be shocked, but in the end we all just need to follow our dreams...l need to do whats best for me...l can't wait to see what happens.

l will be heading to NY for a gallery showing of my BP work and some other stuff as well . The Gallery in Midtown will have my work along with some others..Marvel comics artwork will be showcased...it's all about the characters of color. Fantastic four 52 ...hmmmmmm....this is the first appearance of Black panther...l will be reproducing that cover...full mix media. l'll be rolling soon with a fun announcement...stay tuned.

Disney will buy the comic book company for $4 billion.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The Walt Disney Co. announced Monday that it has agreed to purchase comic book and action hero company Marvel Entertainment for about $4 billion.

If Marvel shareholders approve the deal, they would receive $30 per share in cash and 0.745 shares of Disney for each share of Marvel that they hold. The deal is valued at $50 per Marvel share, more than a 29% premium, based on Friday's closing price.

"We believe that adding Marvel to Disney's unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation," said Disney Chief Executive Robert Iger, in a statement.

Marvel has launched a large number of action-hero movies over the past decade. Last summer's "Iron Man" blockbuster was the first to be fully financed and produced by by the comic book company.

Marvel also holds the rights to 5,000 popular action hero characters, including Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four and Thor.

"Disney is the perfect home for Marvel's fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses," said Marvel Chief Executive Ike Perlmutter. "This is an unparalleled opportunity for Marvel to build upon its vibrant brand and character properties by accessing Disney's tremendous global organization and infrastructure around the world."

Shares of Marvel (MVL) soared 27% in morning trading. Shares of Disney (DIS, Fortune 500) were flat.

Joe Quesada: Yup. “Punisher: Frank Castle” #75 is a double-sized special with stories by Charlie Huston (“Moon Knight”), Gregg Hurwitz (“Vengeance of Moon Knight”), Peter Milligan, Duane Swierczynski and a great crime novelist, Thomas Piccirilli with art by Ken Lashley (“Black Panther”), Laurence Cambpell (“Punisher”), Das Pastoras (“Wolverine”) and more.

All the stories take a hard look at that fateful day in Central Park when Frank Castle's family was slaughtered in a mob crossfire, and the Punisher was born.

And stay tuned for Punisher MAX news coming out of San Diego Comic-Con.

Kiel Phegley: Is issue #75 the end of the MAX Punisher as we know him?

Joe Quesada: It will be bittersweet, let me just leave it at that.

Kiel Phegley: Now called “Punisher: Frank Castle,” "Punisher MAX" was the first really big book in the MAX line. When Garth Ennis wrapped his run on the title, did you and editor Axel Alonso have a debate on whether or not the book could be kept alive without him?

"Punisher: Frank Castle" #75 will be a double-sized special
Joe Quesada: It was absolutely a concern, but I think what happened was that we started to develop a readership in MAX product because of both Garth and what Axel does. Axel has a great sensibility for that kind of material. So I think when people purchase a MAX title, they really know what to expect. They do get their money's worth, they're very smart, sharp-edged adult comics beautifully drawn and wonderfully written. So I think really the line has established a real feel to it and a sensibility that attracts a certain kind of reader, and those readers are really incredibly faithful to that imprint in comic shops and bookstores.

And that's another reason why we don't expand on the imprint. I often get letters from people saying, "Hey, you should turn MAX into Vertigo and expand the titles." But that's not the way it works for us. We'd rather keep the title count low and the quality high. If we can manage that, in the end it services the imprint a lot better.

Kiel Phegley: One of the more interesting things about the MAX line is Alonso’s building up of a stable of contemporary crime novelists who’ve taken the reins of the imprint. Do you find that having the MAX imrprint draws a certain kind of talent that Marvel didn't have before?

Joe Quesada: Yeah. And that's a real tribute to Axel, who I consider to be the best story editor in comics. Probably the best since Archie Goodwin. It's also a great training ground for these particular crime writers to cut their teeth in comics and then start working on other books in the Marvel Universe. So MAX has been a really great place for us and a tremendous imprint.

Day 3..the arrival.

ok the trip had its ups and downs...well mainly through Denver. but l could see the light at the end of the tunnel...the problem is that the light was a smoldering desert ...now l'm not the sensitive type but l was a bit taken back at how VAST the desert is..l decided to drive with the windows open so as not to tax the the engine..( the light would still come on an off and the horsepower was weaker but it wasn't to bad).

we made great time all day and the GPS was the lifesaver.Well...like all things l hit the heat with all the brains of a flea..l was in the desert at noon....no water and a car on the blink...l never do things the easy way. l decided to go as far as l could before putting on the AC...people would pass me and stare...l made it 4 hours before it was just to hot to continue...l saved a ton of gas and made great time because we only stopped once for gas before Vegas. now most people would assume l stopped in Vegas but l was already late for my own house and l needed to get there ASAP...l felt as if l was wasting time if l was not driving...silly but true.

we blew past Las Vegas...and headed towards LA ...l could almost see the light.....so we kept rolling....and a few hours later we were in San Diego...l called the housemates and we were cruising....we made our way up to the house and we parked the van in a garage bulit for a bike...but hey, l'm here so l'm not complaining.

the first to greet us were C-unit and V-boss...they happen to be coming from the liquor store..( which is also the convenience store). l checked out the house...beach front..ahhhh not quite but still very nice. the TV had 12 channels...so very unAMERICAN....but l'll live...also it was 23 inches...l didn't think they still made that size?.

so we arrived..ALIVE...48 hours after we started...4112 km....a 37 hour drive...not bad for one guy and a navigator...

next day we get our badges....and the Con begins...so much fun to be had.

day 2...the HORROR..of driving.

ok..here we go...the day was humming along ...we were making great time. l was staying within the speed limit ( dude..l'm a black guy driving in the states). The day was pretty ordinary...until the dreaded light on the dashboard...it was a problem we spent 4500 dollars fixing the year prior and it was the light that makes a driver go crazy. l decided to pull over and let the transmission cool down...now most of you would either leave the car and fly but l was bringing a ton of stuff so that was out of the question...also the beachhouse was being enjoyed by Cornbread, Spike and Mr Q...l had to get moving.

l got pulled over in IOWA...yep, it's true. l was pulled over because the plastic cover on my plate was covering some info...RIGHT, buddy. l got no ticket but he asked me where l worked...how long l worked there...etc.( l wasn't aware that you had to have a job to drive in IOWA...if that was true there would a lot less cars on the road). oh well...l have been Black a long time so l should not be surprised....back to the drive.

the light went off and l continued on....for about 2 hours then...BLINK BLINK...so l stopped and the light went off...we continued on...the BLINK BLINK..3 hours later of course.

so we went on because we were about 15 hours away from home....and l had a ton planned in SD. the problem is...Denver!!!!! the car was humming along and then we hit the mountains...HOLY CRAP....the mountains went from side to side....up and down...the curves were nuts...and they went on for 5 hours...the minivan did it's job but with the light and the loss of torque it was the scariest drive..imagine trying to climb a hill with no guts...pitch black and you are 17 hours from home....it was a test of wills. l have footage from that night but because of my language l could not show it ....l was swearing like a football coach all night.

At one point l was stuck behind a truck because he could only go 20KM and hour and l didn't have the torque to pass....so l spent 2 hours behind him. l went for as long as l could before l just pulled into a truck stop and took a break. l called home and took it easy for about an hour...then l realized that l needed to get moving so l hit the road again...it was about 3am ...l drove through the night ...l can't tell you how happy l was to see the sun rise....l have come to appreciate life after a night like that....you think about things differently when you have a sobering experience like that...l made a ton of promises to myself that night...l plan on doing all of these things on my new checklist.

San Diego 2009..ROADTRIP..day 1.

ok..here is the silliest thing l have ever done. l decided to drive to San Diego ...now most of you would say that was 'CRAZY' but l am preparing for a big adventure that will involve me driving to SD next year. l was doing a bit of research on how long it will take...if one guy could do it...if it was nuts to try. In the end it was not that bad.

here is how it went...my car was primed and ready to go...l had all the kits...emergency...car boosters...you name we had it. my wife made us a ton of sandwiches ..we had fruit,water, granola bars...no beef jerky.

fedel was ready to roll....his laptop was primed...lets roll.

so l decided to leave on the Sunday because my daughters birthday was on the Saturday...well that went from early Sunday to late Sunday. 5pm was when we were ready to roll. l started out...the GPS was humming and we made amazing time before it got dark . we hit a truck stop just outside of Indiana . we decided not to get a hotel but to crash at a rest area...that saved us time..we slept for 3 hours and then we were off again.

so day one was just a funny mix of driving and laughing. the next day was funny as hell...stay tuned. Monday is coming...so scary...

here is some love....pencil stuff and some concept...life is good. l see that over the past few years l seem to be able to just keep working in an industry that is getting smaller...l have been able to do some amazing things and although most would think l have been blessed..l have a new oppurtunity that will give me a chance to make my dreams come true and travel to NY a few days a week...it's not a gig...it's a new chapter in my life.

Transgaming is a company that l will be rolling with , l enjoy drawing and designing but the this new adventure will change my life. l can't wait...l hope it all goes well.

hello all,
l took some time off and am back to the workload.....l am doing some work on Punisher and then .....wait l just can't say yet. l have been working for Marvel for a few years now and l am happy to get my hands on some big books...although l am done with BP ( for now) ..l still am knee deep with my work at the house of M.

l got contacted by Jim M who runs the HERO INITIATIVE program. This program is very beneficial to us artist who may be down on their luck or just having a rough time...medically or otherwise. l was asked if l would contribute a cover for an auction that will be held at a comiccon this summer. l did one cover as well as two cards..these are the images l did..l did them quick..say about 2 hours total.

l enjoy doing this kind of work..it makes you feel like you are making a difference.

issue 5of BP is out...more on that later.

Grevioux rides 'Pale Horsemen'
'Underworld' co-creator to direct adaptation

The Pale Horsemen" is described as a supernatural thriller that revolves around a gang of hit men who are forced to work together to uncover who killed their mentor.

Book is published through Grevioux's DarkStorm Studios imprint.

NEHST will produce the pic with Sandrunner Entertainment and DarkStorm Filmworks, with Meistrich, Ari Friedman and Shane Walker serving as producers, while H. Michael Heuser is exec producer.

Meistrich, who founded the Shooting Gallery, launched NEHST Studios in 2007 as a film production, financing and distribution company.

Grevioux and Len Wiseman wrote the original screenplay for the first "Underworld" pic, which bowed in 2003 and spawned two additional installments. Grevioux also appears in the first film.

The film rights to several of Grevioux's other graphic novels have also recently been picked up, including "ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction," optioned by Benderspink, and "I, Frankenstein," at Death Ray Films.

the pages keep rolling and l am here to show a bit of how it goes...the last page of issue 3 of BP has the DEATH SPIRIT doing the evil....but what was cool about it was that l could reinvent the look...sort of. l mean you can't get that far away from the European look of the classic spirit but l did my best to do a African version...it was fun but if l had more time l would have loved to do that part again....do it from scratch and make it crazy...but like they always say pages are not done...they are abandoned ...peace all.

ok, l havebeen very busy lately...went to Penn State for a guys weekend and just got back...l went online to see what the deal was in regards to my BP issues and l see Marvel has put up some new stuff...so l decided to show my part of the work. The team of Neary and Mounts is killing it....most people don't realize how hard it is to do this on time...most of us can't do it. i't not that we can't it's just that the standards are so high...if you cut corners it shows. l don't cut corners...l just don't sleep.

l was recently asked to showcase some of my work at the Obamanation show at the Beaver Hall in Toronto...it was a fun time and l met up with some amazingly talented people..the Tone Mason's are my new fav ...love the beats bro and we will be rolling soon.

l am rolling to SD this summer....got a place to stay on the beach...got a few people staying with me....it will be fun.

The numbers were great and the book is selling out to fans that didn't pick up the Panther before this series. l am stoked to be rolling on this book...it's a blast to work on some amazing scripts....too work with a talented team doesn't hurt. l have been doing some fun work....drawing some kick arse action....more panthers than l can shake a stick at...it rocks too draw this book...l have never had this much fun...and l think it shows.

This is what l read today....if you are a new artist making samples...you better get your money together and go to the shows.
let me tell you a story about that...when l first got in at Marvel..(500 years ago)..l was flown down for a picnic and family day party. l met my editor Suzanne Gaffney and we hung out at her office...here is the part that might surprise you.

l was sitting there and a guy came in to show his work , she took the time to look at it gave him some advice, he was to do more stuff. l think he was an intern or something because he seemed to know her quite well. He was really cool with me and as soon as he was done he shook my hand and left the room leaving behind his work for her to keep ...l spoke to Suze for about 30sec when she picked his samples up and put them in the trash....l went 'huh'' and she said that she had to do that because she couldn't keep them all...l said ' wow, that's harsh''....she said 'yeah it is , but it's the way it is ...''..

she than said..' hey, l know how l can show you what it's like''.....she took me to the mail room where she put a HUGE bag of mail in front of me...she told me that was just today's mail...2000 pieces of mail...mostly samples. l said l would look through them...she laughed...l lasted about 200 before my mind just gave up.

l was just ripping open the package...looking in and if it didn't catch my eye l would toss it. l realized that day that if you mail it...you won't get hired.

on a funny note...l got a letter from Marvel after l had been working there for about 6 months...it was a rejection letter....everyone gets one because if they have your address chances are you didn''t make it. l would frame mine ...if l could find it..hahahaaha.

'Marvel Comics announced this morning that it has halted unsolicited submissions while it reviews its policy.

A new submissions policy is expected to be announced “in the near future.” In the meantime, company representatives will continue to recruit artists through the talent department, and conduct portfolio reviews at conventions.

Talent Liaison C.B. Cebulski had first revealed last week on Twitter that Marvel was revising its approach to submissions.

Amid a flurry of tips for aspiring creators and a mention of the new policy, Cebulski wrote, “Just so no one gets their hopes up, the new Marvel submissions policies are only going to make breaking in that much harder, folks.”

In a press release posted today on Marvel’s submissions page, Cebulski said the publisher found that open submissions have been the least-effective way to discover new talent: “So instead we’ll be continuing with the more ‘proactive’ methods of artist and writer discovery that we’ve found so successful of late, including some soon-to-be-announced new outlets.”

Just how ineffective have open submissions been for Marvel? “Disturbing but eye-opening fact: No writer or artist has been hired through a cold submission mailed into Marvel in recent memory,” Cebulski wrote Feb. 14 on Twitter. That was followed by, “Upon intense review, we discovered that almost all new talent hired by Marvel over the past five years has come through ‘word-of-mouth.’”

l went to BT ( Breakfast Television) on Monday...l had be there at 6:30am and be ready to talk about my career and other stuff. l was told to bring some stuff and showcase my work...it was fun to do so...pick the stuff that matters and leave other work behind. fedel came with me....poor soul l picked him up at 4:30am. We were also going to showcase my work at the Beaver Hall for the OBAMANATION art show...a few funny people along with my funny work.

BT was a blast...l was on a few years ago and it was a very amazing experience ....this time l was in full effect and had lots to show. l talked about all kinds of stuff...it was good TV...well l hope so..more to come...

The BreaKfast Television show asked that you be in at 6:30am....now that might not be that early for some of you but for me it is nuts...l'm a night hawk.....so l should be ok but l know l'll say something silly.

well here it is...the first project that l can truly say that l'm proud of...

l have been very fortunate to work for some great companies and do some amazing things. ..but this project is different. l have seen how the world has changed...now there is a comic called Black Panther and it is nothing that you would expect. l was honored to be asked to do this book, l have been in the biz for years...did the whole range of books but now l can hand my friends this book and not make excuses for bad storytelling...crappy inks...dark muddy colors. l use to push companies to hire a group people that in all fairness just could not handle the job...that was my mistake. l work with pro's now...looking at Neary's inks and l wonder why l waited so long to make the decision to do this...Mr Mounts colors are so strong that l realize now that l should have just let the pro's handle my work....what was l smoking to let myself be represented by these idiots..l guess l'm the biggest idiot of all to let it happen.

l'm all about talent now...no more crappy guys touching my stuff...it's a new day.

the books get better every month....wait until you see what's next.

93.5 FLOW is putting me on...

On thursday Feb 5th l will be on FLOW 93.5, talking about BLACK PANTHER #1 and other things that l have been doing. l have been a long time listener to that station because it is the only urban station in Ontario. l remember when they were trying to get a urban station in Ontario ...they worked hard for years to make it happen. l have a few buddies who have been part of the FLOW family for years...DJ Starting from Skratch has been a long time friend...he used to come the club l worked at with his crates of records and rock us ...that was at least 20 yeras ago...he was only 14 at the time...he had mad skills, now he is the man...much love and respect for what he has done.

j-wise is a friend from the early days of the studio...he was a smart kid with a ton of potential ..he did an interview with me a few years ago and l was in a bad mood so l was talking s#1T about everybody...l was acting like a crazy person..(not one of my finer moments). J took a poster that l have yet to see again...hahaaha...it's all good.

listen for it on Thursday..l hope l don't say something stupid...but hey , it might be entertaining.

History for the 44th

let me say that although we are talking about art, comics, games and other things we enjoy there is a world about to undergo a huge change.

America surprised me....but than again why should l be surprised, l am a black man who has done work for everyone you can think of. l think what l'm saying is that although l am a fairly talented artist, my ethnicity is not front and center when l send in my portfolio. l get judged on the merit of my work and my reputation. l have always been able to get the things l strived for..maybe not when l wanted it but never the less it came.

History is what happened yesterday...l spent the day drawing and watching the countless stories about the 44th President. the stories were new...interesting and passionate.

l dream of my own stories getting to the world....l dream of a ton of things that were not possible 45 years ago. l grew up in a time where l could pretty much do anything l choose. my children will not have to consider those issues...they can dream freely.

my parents told me about the past..it's my job is to let my children know where they came from.

my story is not done yet...l have things to do and places to go...lets dream and better yet....lets roll.

life is funny....ok here is my funny Disney story..

We just spent a full day at the park...MGM..or hollywood studios as it is called now...l was there with my wife ,two kids...niece...nephew ..and my sister in-law and my inlaws....all 9 of us.

Here is the funny part, my sister in-law is in a wheelchair and she gets extra care when we go anywhere...we get on buses first and all that good stuff. ...but on this particular ride we got a very special treat. the bus driver puts her on first and said that her family can come with her if we would like.... so we all decided to get on...the bus driver puts up his hands when l got close and repeated that this was for her 'family'....did l mention that l'm a different color than my wifes family? if not...l am.

he looked right at me...l promptly told him l was 'family....' l also said ' dude, it's ok..l married into this family...l'm good''...the bus erupted in laughter.....he smiled that nervous smile and went back to his seat.

l guess l should have been more nice....but hey, it was a long day and l was having a bit of fun...hahahaha....

Well hello all,
l spent a fun filled weekend in Detroit attending the Lions VS the Saints...it was awesome. l have always wanted to redo a trip l took a few years back with a bunch of ungrateful freeloaders ..(hahaha..no really, it's true).l am a big Saints fan and l decided to do the trip...hey, the Saints were in Detroit so how could l not go. The tickets were crazy...l guess the Lions are having a tough time selling seats so l got 3 sets for a song. l moved around the stadium and took pics from all the seats...it was crazy stupid.

l took a few good buddies...l realized that C-unit took all the pics and didn't get in any....next time Mr Colt. l called his girlfriend because she was texting him....hey, this was a guy weekend , no females ...that's right l said it.
